Brief description of the opportunity:

Do you have experience of blogging / writing and social media?

We're looking for a Social Media volunteer to promote, develop and maintain our online presence. Our Website, Facebook and Twitter feeds help to show new and existing stakeholders that Kazuri is an active, accessible and effective organisation.

You will play a key role in maintaining this existing structure, whilst also developing a Women Vs The State (UK) blog , a specific project.

Maybe you're passionate about writing, interested in social media as a tool for small organizations, or you are eager to promote the awareness of social justice and women’s issues?

This role could be for you.

As our Social Media Volunteer you will work closely with Project Leaders and maintain a strong relationship with all staff and volunteers.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate an interest in women’s issues, , good communication skills, and the ability to transform small snippets of information into interesting and engaging stories. You'll be working in the office in Camden or from home , keeping up to date with  Women vs The State  events and news, and choosing what to promote through our social media feeds and website.

You'll also be encouraged to visit our projects and attend our events, writing articles about them on our blog. Not only will you be the eyes and ears of our organisation, you'll also be the mouthpiece.

This is a high profile social media and crowdfunding campaign to highlight injustice against women perpetrated by the State, you can see more here

http://womenversusthestate.blogspot.co.uk

It's a call to action for the government to take their responsibility to end all forms of violence, discrimination and injustice against women.

You will be highly motivated and manage our social media and  crowdfunding campaigns as well as the interaction with other agencies, NGOs and organisations who work with women.

This role can be performed from home or in our office in Camden. You'll be working towards putting a high profile event together for a book launch in parliament, inviting dignitaries and women who have gone through trauma and violence and raising the importance of CEDAW the legislation which is a Convention to End Discrimination Against Women.

This is a three month project, which may lead to a full time position. Travel and meal costs will be reimbursed. If you are interested, please contact Farah 0n 07512 320 700 or download and send back a completed application form
